Many peoplewill tell you that if something is too good to be true, it probably is. Well, they're wrong. The truth is: we don't profit from your sales, and you can create a store for free, selling an unlimited number of products, including MP3s. This site was created by musicians in order to give money back to musicians. Record labels and other sites like CDBaby, InterPunk, SmartPunk, and the like often take 40% or more, which is outrageous.

But back to the question about fees: because the store uses PayPal for checkout, they will take a small percentage of each sale (at the time this was written, it is less than 3% + $0.30 USD). You should also note that if you have a business PayPal account and have selected to be paid this way, we will forward the money to you, and PayPal takes a small percentage of that as well (if you have an Individual PayPal account, they won't charge you at all. Or you can forget that and request us to send you a check instead).

- Are you guys even making money?

If you feel like you need to give something back to us, feel free. We, too, are artists and feel your pain. You can give back by donating or signing up for Tier 2, in which we'll do all the store-building for you while you concentrate on your music... we even ship your sales to your customers. All you do is send us the products you want to sell, and we do the rest. It can be that easy.
